The short version. Beardly turns a selfie into an AI beard-style preview. You get a few free previews; after that each preview costs a credit, or you can subscribe to Beardly Pro. Previews are AI-generated and for personal use — don’t upload photos that aren’t yours or use Beardly to impersonate or harm anyone. Purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play and are subject to their refund rules.
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Beardly mobile application, this website, and related services (together, “Beardly” or the “Service”), operated by KMavericks (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using Beardly, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use Beardly. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Beardly only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. The Service
Beardly generates photorealistic AI previews of how you might look with a chosen beard style. You provide a selfie, pick a style, and choose a mode — grow (the style as a target to grow into) or shape (re-grooming the growth you already have). The result is a computer-generated image.
AI-generated output. Previews are produced by an automated model and are illustrative only. They are not a photograph, a guarantee of how you will actually look, and may contain inaccuracies or artifacts. You should not rely on a preview as professional (including medical or grooming) advice. We continually work to improve quality but do not warrant any particular result.
4. Your account
Beardly works anonymously by default — no sign-up is required to start. You may optionally link a Sign in with Apple or Google account to secure your data across devices. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your device and account, and for keeping your sign-in method secure. You may delete your data at any time from Account → Delete my data, or request full account deletion by contacting us.
5. Your content and license
You keep ownership of your photos. The selfies you upload and the previews generated for you remain yours. To operate the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and transmit your photos solely to generate your previews, deliver them back to you, and provide the features you request. We do not use your photos to train AI models, and we do not sell or share them, as described in our Privacy Policy. This license ends when your content is deleted.
You promise that the photos you upload are of yourself or of a person who has given you permission, that you have the right to use them, and that they do not infringe anyone’s rights or violate any law.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Beardly to:
- upload photos of other people without their consent, or photos you have no right to use;
- create images intended to impersonate, deceive, defraud, harass, defame, or harm any person;
- generate content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or that depicts minors inappropriately;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to extract our models, prompts, or source code;
- circumvent usage limits or security, tamper with app integrity checks, or access the Service through unauthorized or automated means;
- resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.
We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is fraudulent, abusive, or harmful to others or to the Service.
7. Credits, Beardly Pro, and payments
Free previews and credits
New users receive a limited number of free previews. After that, each preview consumes one credit. Credits are a consumable digital item sold in packs. Credits have no cash value, are not redeemable for money, are non-transferable, and do not expire so long as your account remains active. If a preview fails for a technical reason on our side, the credit used is automatically returned.
Beardly Pro subscription
Beardly Pro is an auto-renewing subscription offered monthly, yearly, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. An active Pro subscription includes previews up to a monthly fair-use allotment; beyond that allotment in a given month, additional previews use credits. We may adjust the fair-use allotment to keep the Service sustainable, with notice where required.
Auto-renewal. Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Billing and refunds
All purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed through our payments provider, RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment-card details. Purchases are subject to the applicable store’s terms and refund policies — refund requests are generally handled by Apple or Google, not by us. Except where required by law, purchases of credits and subscription fees are non-refundable. Prices may vary by region and may change over time.
8. Intellectual property
Beardly, including its software, design, branding, logos, and content we provide (but excluding your photos and previews), is owned by KMavericks and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
9. Third-party services
Beardly relies on third-party services to function — including Google (cloud infrastructure and the AI image model), RevenueCat (purchase management), and the Apple App Store and Google Play. Your use of the Service may also be subject to those parties’ terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their availability is outside our control.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that AI-generated previews will be accurate, realistic, or meet your expectations. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KMavericks and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD $50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KMavericks from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third party’s rights — including claims relating to photos you upload.
13. Termination
You may stop using Beardly at any time and delete your data or account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including content licenses you granted, intellectual-property terms, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnities — will survive.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of Beardly after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at KMavericks’ principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts there will have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any issue informally.
